No fear.

So these last days have been kind of intresting.
On our last night on Utila there was a storm and it rained ALL night. And, when we woke up in the morning (at 6...yay!) it was still raining. The worst part was, onyl a week before I got sick of carrying my stupid useless poncho around, and decided to leave it in El Salvador.
Now, this is probably the stupidest thing we have ever done. As I woke on this very rainy morning, I relized that only now are we ENTERING the rainy season, and there is probably going to be a lot of rainy days to come.
So, as we are walking to the boat we are cursing ourselves...

We actually decided not to take the ferry and to take a different boat. A smaller one that locals take. It would be cheaper and we wouldnt have to pay the 'cargo price' for our surfboard.
So, this boat is small. And its raining. Poaring actually. But I figure, 'hey this cant be that bad..we might get a little wet, but its cheaper and faster than the ferry. And there is that little canopy covering us...'

So we climb aboard and we are ordered to sit in the back. The girl hands me a life jacket, which is highly unusual for Central America. I smile and take it from her and it put it down. She insists that I put it on. OK, so this is super unusual. The oceans looking pretty calm, how bad is this gonna be?
Zoe, Sage and I are all sitting on the same bench, and our driver hands us a black tarp. He instructs that we have to tuck it under our feet and over our heads. Sage exclaims that she feels like an illegal immigrant. I feel the same way. We start laughing and the girl behind me taps me on the shoulder and says in broken English 'No Fear'.
Alrighty, I was feeling OK untill right about now. NO FEAR? Should I be fearing something??
But there is no time to think because the boat pulls away from the dock.
The ride was fast, very wet and thrilling. I was very suprised at how high the waves can be in the middle of the ocean. The kids behind us were screaming in fright, and I admit I felt like screaming a bit too...OK, so I did. Just a bit. But it was still fun.

From the pier in Utilla we went to the bus station and caught the next bus to Tegus (the capital). That was a nice 7 hour ride. We stayed the night in Tegus, at a super cheap hotel and the next morning borded the 'Tica Bus' to Managua, Nicaragua. So far, its been alright. I think we might stay here a couple nights and explore a little bit.

I miss you all, and I wish I had some camomole lotion (I am itchy as shit)
